Shaped by hand.
Finished with intent.
Every Zarapie piece moves through the same sequence — from raw sheesham block to finished retail object.
From block to shelf.
No outsourced stages. No veneered shortcuts. Raw sheesham or mango wood enters the workshop — a finished, hand-checked retail object leaves. The same four steps, every batch, every order.

Step 01
The Wood
Sheesham and mango wood are selected for grain consistency, density, and moisture content. Only solid timber — no engineered boards, no fillers. Each batch is hand-sorted before cutting begins.

Step 02
The Shaping
Blocks are cut to form and shaped by hand tools. Joints are fitted, curves are worked by eye, and proportions are checked against the master template. No CNC. The artisan reads the grain and adjusts accordingly.

Step 03
The Finish
Sanding runs through multiple grits — coarse to fine — entirely by hand. A light natural seal is applied and left to cure. No lacquer buildup, no plastic sheen. The wood surface remains tactile and close to its natural state.
Multi-grit sanding · Natural seal · No lacquer
Step 04
The Check
Each finished piece is inspected by hand — surface, joint, proportion, and finish uniformity checked individually. Pieces that don’t pass are set aside. What ships is what cleared the check. Batch records are kept for repeat orders.

Two woods. One standard.
Sheesham — dense, dark-grained, and durable. The default for puzzle sets and games where structural integrity matters across repeated handling.
Mango wood — lighter in tone, with a wider grain. Used where warmth of colour is part of the brief. Both are solid. Both are sourced and processed to the same standard.
